Gracie is 13 and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure about a month ago. She has had no health problems up to this time. She was fine one day and then became short of breath. The vet immediately diagnosed heart failure and she was started on meds. It was quite a shock since she is so active. She does not act like a 13 year old. Fortunately, she is doing well on the meds and the vet has said she has had dogs live several years with heart failure so I am hopeful that she will be around for a long time. It has been a big adjustment with meds twice a day and no more walks but it is worth it to have Gracie back to her old self. I cannot imagine life without her. Jenn Post A Reply >>>
